Lucky Number Seven!
TWISTY-TURNY HOUSE is my seventh picture book published by S&S, so I shall take a moment to reflect on my incredible luck of having landed there in 2013 with the sale of STRICTLY NO ELEPHANTS. The tiny elephant marches on, in numerous languages on a circuitous journey around the globe, spreading the message of “that’s what friends do,” and now he is joined by this motley crew of kittehs and doggos, who want you to know that “it’s better this way.”
Normally, I take book birthday pictures with cake and flowers, but this one is dedicated to all the rescues we’ve worked with over the years to bring home our furry friends: Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, Second Chance Dogs, and Houston Chow Chow Connection. So you get photos of ALL THE FLOOFS.
